I have a vivid memory of a ribena-besplattered marble floor, which probably wasn't the effect the designer intended. On one particularly long and bad taxi journey from Dehli to some distant location, my weary parents consented to the driver's offer of a sticky black coil of opium to quell the bowel histrionics (which did the trick, I believe).
